Eat a piece of meat when experimenting with seasoning before cooking all of it. It is important not to over-season foods such as hamburger, meatballs and other meat-based dishes. Do not cook the entire thing right after you season it. Cook a bit of the mixture before you continue to cook the entire batch to ensure that the seasonings are correct. Once you've tasted the meat, change the seasoning accordingly, then cook the entire piece of meat.
